Fall + Soup = Cozy Comfort in a Bowl
Making homemade soup is so satisfying–especially in the Fall. Every Fall, making soup and trying different soup recipes makes me so happy.
Usually, Fall is the time of year when I’m finally back at “home, home” with the kids, before the holiday bustle and after a long year of extended travel and adventures. If you follow my blog, Wanderschool, you already know that I spend a lot of time traveling (typically solo mama style) and worldschooling my four kids, who are always in tow.
Naturally, making soup with my children or for them (or a big pot just for me) represents spending time together in a familiar kitchen–not someone else’s AirBNB or a hotel–and simply feels comfortable and cozy.
Soup Recipes are Perfect for Kids, Teens, Young, or Aspiring Cooks to Make
Now that my kids are older (three teens, one tween…where has time gone?!?), they absolutely love to cook and have taken an interest in making healthy, good- for-them food. That includes making soup.
I know some people find making soup really challenging. It doesn’t have to be that way, once you find the right recipes.
In fact, when you find recipes that work for you. Keep them close. Making soup is a reward of its own kind.
Are you ready to make your own soup, with or without kids? These are perfect recipes for kids and aspiring cooks to make.
Happy soup making!
